Oración de la Sábila

1 04 2009

Sábila Virtuosa, Sábila Bendita,
Sábila Santa, Sábila Sagrada;
tu virtud me hará fuerte, famoso, afortunado y dichoso;
no se me interpondrán obstáculos en todo lo que yo ambicione,
quiera o me proponga hacer.
Todo constituirá un éxito halagüeño para mí;

Powerful Aloe, Blessed Aloe, Holy Aloe, Sacred Aloe, by the power that you gave to the Apostles, I ask you to give me that power because I venerate you and love you so that you may free me from curses, illnesses, bad luck, so that everything can go well for me in my daily tasks, in business, and so that you cause evil to flee from my house and free me from invisible enemies wherever they are. Grant me happiness, fortune, and money, with much ease and with the least amount of effort. Your power will make me strong, famous, fortunate, and happy; nothing will be an obstacle to anything that I will strive for, want, or propose to do. All will be a pleasant success for me. This divine force that God has given you, I believe in God and confide in you. By all of the power that has been granted to you, I will conquer all of the obstacles in front of me and my house will be filled with blessings with your sublime power, Holy Aloe.

Prayer to St. Joseph over 1900 years old

19 03 2009

O St. Joseph whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the Throne of God, I place in you all my interests and desires. O St. Joseph do assist me by your powerful intercession and obtain for me from your Divine Son all spiritual blessings through Jesus Christ, Our Lord; so that having engaged here below your Heavenly power I may offer my Thanksgiving and Homage to the most Loving of Fathers. O St. Joseph, I never weary contemplating you and Jesus asleep in your arms. I dare not approach while He reposes near your heart. Press him in my name and kiss His fine Head for me, and ask Him to return the Kiss when I draw my dying breath. St. Joseph, Patron of departing souls, pray for us. Amen

Say for nine consecutive mornings for anything you may desire. It has seldom been known to fail.

This prayer was found in the fiftieth year of Our Lord Jesus Christ. In 1500’s it was sent by the Pope to Emperor Charles when he was going into battle.

Whoever reads this prayer or hears it or carries it, will never die a sudden death, nor be drowned, nor will poison take effect on them. They will not fall into the hands of the enemy nor be burned in any fire, nor will they be defeated in battle.

Make this prayer known everywhere.

On seeking refuge from our enemies

19 03 2009

A Muslim friend recently sent me a link to an on-line Shia booklet on the Islamic phrase, “Aaoozu billahi min ash Shaitan ir rajeem”. This phrase is most commonly uttered by reciters of the Koran (“Koran” means “recitation”) before they begin their reading. It translates, “I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan”. Use of this phrase can be heard on this rather aesthetically pleasing recitation:

Oración a San Cipriano

23 06 2008

Prayer to Saint Cyprian

Saint Cyprian, I beseech you that those who are bound by hexes, bewitchings, and possessed of evil, that you unbind them, that you unbewitch them, so that the rabid wolf not have dominion over ___________ (name).
Saint Cyprian, I pray preserve me from all evil intents, arts, and perfidies of Lucifer; guard my vision and my thoughts; may they be full of confusion those who attempt against my life, may my enemies be confused and driven away, keep me triumphant against them eternally.
Thus may it be.

The life of Sts. Cyprian and Justina can be found here.
