I have always been skeptical of all talk of an “interior life” or faith as an abstract idea. This for me is far more familiar and far more real.


Sorry, Arturo: like all things Catholic, it’s not either/or: external devotion vs. “interior life”. It’s both/and. So the Saints teach us, by word and example.
That’s what real religion looks like.
I really appreciate your take on things, Arturo. It reminds me that one thing I’ve been meaning to do for a while now is expand my repertoire of Catholic bloggers & web-favourites outside of the Anglo-American echo-chamber.
